A lot of folks might not have noticed with all the market mayhem yesterday but tax filing season officially kicked off on Monday with the IRS now accepting returns. If you are expecting a refund we would strongly advise filing sooner than later as there may be delays as the IRS combats a significant backlog and limited staffing.
