🚨 TAX NOTICE TALK 🚨

Did you get a letter from the IRS and immediately think:

😩 “Oh Lord…what did I do?”
😂 “I’m not opening that!”
👀 “Maybe it will go away.”

NOPE! 😂

One of the most common notices taxpayers receive is a CP14.

📬 WHAT DOES CP14 MEAN?

It generally means the IRS shows that you have a balance due on your tax account.

Your notice should explain:

💰 How much you owe
📅 When payment is due
➕ Any applicable penalties or interest
📋 What your next steps are

Receiving an IRS notice does NOT mean you should panic.

But ignoring one can turn a manageable situation into a much bigger problem.

✅ Open the letter
✅ Read the notice number
✅ Check the tax year
✅ Compare it with your tax records
✅ Respond by the deadline when required

Tax knowledge can save you MONEY and STRESS. 💚💰

Have you ever received a letter from the IRS and had NO IDEA what it meant? 👀

Comment NOTICE below.

Three letters to know cold before January. 🎯

Your clients WILL bring you these:

✍🏾 CP75 — EIC examination. 30 days. Most common if you serve an EIC-heavy base.

✍🏾 CP2000 — underreported income. 60 days.

✍🏾 Letter 4800C — credit examination. 30 days.

Now here's the part that catches people: 😳

The clock starts on the NOTICE DATE — not the day your client hands it to you.

Client sat on it three weeks? You got nine days, not thirty. 👀

Your 5-step process, every time:

1️⃣ Check the date on the notice. FIRST. Before anything. 2️⃣ Pull the file 3️⃣ Read what's actually bein' questioned 4️⃣ THEN call the client 5️⃣ Log it and file it

Never take that call cold. Pull the file first so you're answerin' from the record, not from memory. 🔥

No shame if this is new — most of us never got taught the notice side of this work. 🤍

Save this one. You'll need it. 👑

Which of these have y'all seen most? 👇

🚨 Parents, Tax Year 2026 comes with some updated numbers you’ll want to know BEFORE filing season gets here. 💰

Here’s what the IRS has confirmed for returns we’ll file in 2027:

💵 2026 Standard Deduction
Single or Married Filing Separately: $16,100
Head of Household: $24,150
Married Filing Jointly: $32,200

👶🏾 Maximum Earned Income Tax Credit
No qualifying children: $664
1 qualifying child: $4,427
2 qualifying children: $7,316
3 or more qualifying children: $8,231

🧒🏾 Child Tax Credit
Up to $2,200 per qualifying child, with up to $1,700 potentially refundable through the Additional Child Tax Credit.

Now before y’all start calculating refunds in your head 😂 remember: these are maximum amounts. Your actual credit depends on things like your income, filing status, qualifying children, and whether you meet all IRS eligibility requirements.

A higher credit limit does NOT automatically mean everybody is getting a bigger refund.

This is why we educate BEFORE we estimate. 💯

Tax season will be here before we know it. Start getting your documents and records together NOW.

🚨 High Income Earners… This One Is for You! 💰

If you’re making $100,000+ a year and you’re still only relying on your W-2 income, you could be missing out on legitimate tax-saving opportunities.

Starting a business isn’t just about creating another stream of income—it’s also about unlocking deductions that may not be available to employees alone. Things like certain business expenses, mileage, equipment, marketing, and other ordinary and necessary business costs may help reduce your taxable income when you have a legitimate business.

Too many people work harder every year, earn more money… and then watch more of it go to taxes because no one taught them how to use the tax laws to their advantage.

💡 A business should never be started just for tax deductions—it should be a real business with the intent to make a profit. But if you’ve been thinking about starting that side hustle, consulting business, online store, or service business, now is the time to learn how to do it the right way.

Stop asking:
❌ “How much do I owe?”

Start asking:
✅ “How can I legally keep more of what I earn?”

If you’re a high-income earner and want to learn how to structure your business and create a tax strategy that works for you, comment “BUSINESS” below or send me a DM.

💡 Tax Tip Tuesday 💰

I bet you didn’t know… 👀

If you use your personal vehicle for business, you may be able to deduct your business mileage. 🚗📈

That includes trips to:
✅ Meet with clients
✅ The bank for business
✅ The post office
✅ Office supply stores
✅ Business networking events

📌 The key? Keep accurate mileage records. The IRS requires documentation, so tracking your business miles throughout the year can save you money at tax time.

Small habits today can lead to big tax savings tomorrow! 💸
