October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A cause that is deeply personal to me.

My wife Wanda is a breast cancer survivor.

I watched the woman I love face one of the hardest seasons of our lives with a grace and a strength that I still don’t have the right words for.

I won’t pretend I fully understood what she carried through that season, the fear, the treatment, the uncertainty about what came next. What I know is that I watched the strongest person I’ve ever met face something that would have broken most people.

And she didn’t break.

Wanda is a survivor. And every October I am reminded of how much that word means.

To everyone navigating a diagnosis right now and to everyone loving someone through one, I see you. 💗

And if you’ve been putting off a mammogram, please don’t. Early detection saves lives. Wanda was young, healthy, the kind of person you never imagine getting diagnosed, but she did. So please schedule the appointment.
