Allow me to encourage you this morning..

In times of distress and turmoil, we must look to Jesus and His final hours before the cross as a guide for how God’s people should respond especially in a world shaken by uncertainty, financial struggles, and economic hardship.

Just as Jesus prayed for the cup of suffering to be removed, many of us today are crying out to God, asking for relief. The weight of inflation, job loss, struggling businesses, and financial burdens can feel like too much to bear. But even in His anguish, Jesus accepted God’s will reminding us that faith is not about avoiding hardship but about trusting that God’s plan is greater than our suffering.

Jesus was so distressed that He sweat drops of blood a level of agony that many feel today as they wonder how to provide for their families, keep their businesses afloat, or simply make it through another day. Yet, even in that moment of suffering, God did not abandon Him. An angel came and strengthened Him. This is God’s promise to us now: when we stay faithful, He will sustain us, provide for us, and strengthen us.

Then came the ultimate betrayal. Jesus was handed over by someone close to Him, Judas, a disciple he once walked with. In difficult times, we may experience betrayal from people we trusted, from systems we relied on, or from the world itself.

But betrayal does not stop God’s purpose. Just as Jesus endured and fulfilled His mission, we, too, must remain steadfast, knowing that God’s plan for His faithful people is still in motion.

And then, Jesus was arrested, taken by a crowd led by His betrayer. Injustice, opposition, and adversity surrounded Him, yet He did not fight in the flesh. He remained focused on the promise of victory.

Today, as we face an unstable economy, rising costs, and uncertainty about the future, God’s people must stand firm.

We are not called to fear, to panic, or to be consumed by worry. Instead, we are called to trust. To pray. To walk in obedience. To believe that God is Jehovah Jireh, our provider, and that He has never abandoned those who remain faithful to Him.

So, as the world shakes, remember that God’s kingdom cannot be shaken. Stay faithful, seek Him first, and watch as He opens doors, makes ways, and provides in ways beyond human understanding.
Just as Jesus overcame, you too will overcome.

My prayer is that God comforts each of you that are facing some type of adversity in this season...
