I became a financial planner in 1992, after being inspired by my parents' hard work in making ends meet while growing up in a blue collar, middle-class Atlanta neighborhood. I have always tried to help others, and now I strive to help people make the most of their lives and relationships through high quality, personal financial planning. My financial planning is goal-centered and built around each
person's unique situation and issues. By affiliating with IFG and LPL, I have remained independent and can tailor strategies seeking to build, preserve, and transfer wealth in a tax-advantaged way. In short, I serve as a client's lead financial advisor to help choreograph their financial affairs and ensure prudent implementation of their financial plan. Most of my clients want help figuring out if what they are doing will get them where they want to go, and also if there are blind spots they need to watch out for. I look at a client’s entire situation and work with them step-by-step to make positive changes. I also leverage technology to help clients stay organized and focused, help make their financial life a little simpler, and facilitate easier meetings within clients' busy schedules. To have one source for a client’s financial planning needs, I maintain a network of professionals to assist with specialized planning issues, such as tax planning, estate and legacy planning, prudent debt planning, business consulting, etc. I also utilize IFG and LPL's programs and research to implement personal investment portfolios in a fee-based platform. When not working with clients, I can be found having fun with my sons in Boy Scouts or mentoring other scouts, or in the mountains or at the beach with my wife and family. We love to travel and have new experiences, or help others through volunteer service, church work, and mission trips.
