I have to get better at posting. But I didn’t want this week to pass by without posting this. There’s something extra special about helping family achieve homeownership. 🏡
We recently had the privilege of helping our family purchase the home they had been renting for years — directly from their landlord, without using a realtor. While every situation is unique, this one required the right strategy, persistence, and a clear financial plan.
Our goal was simple:
✔️ Put together a solid down payment
✔️ Keep enough savings available for future home repairs and unexpected expenses
✔️ Eliminate debt and avoid becoming house poor
✔️ Secure the best possible interest rate
And by the grace of God and a lot of determination, we were able to accomplish all of it — including locking in an interest rate I honestly haven’t seen in a very long time.
There were roadblocks along the way, but quitting was never an option. We stayed committed to finding solutions and getting them to the closing table successfully.
Congratulations on becoming homeowners and on a special day, your 29 year wedding anniversary! We are honored to have been part of this journey and grateful to help another family build stability, equity, and legacy for the future. The best part is that they don’t have to move!
