Our Story
Wallet Coach was birthed out of our personal “get off the struggle bus” story.
Faced with over $290K in debt as newlyweds, we quickly learned that we had to pay off our debt in order to live the financial life we wanted.
However, we faced a dilemma – Jason was traveling for work. Now, that may not seem like a hindrance, but it was. Tiffany wanted Jason home more often and Jason wanted to be home, too, but doing so came at a cost. Jason took a job earning $20K less than what he was making before in order to spend time with his new bride. That step of faith ended up being a blessing, which has now birthed JTB Financial Solutions (#walletcoach).
Using basic financial principles, we paid off $112K in student loan and credit card debt within 28 months. We then sold our $178,000 rental property 18 months later, making us completely debt free!
