Recently, I received a phone call from a stressed business owner who explained their books had been done incorrectly for quite some time and mentioned he could never get a hold of his bookkeeper. - - Unfortunately, this happens more often than you’d think. I honestly love what I do, being a business owner has changed my life in all the right ways.. but being the owner of a bookkeeping company is even sweeter.

Not only do I love helping people, but I am an organized freak! I like to make sure everything is right 100% of the time, and that’s why this business works for me. That’s what bookkeeping is all about. You really have to be organized. But I will say what really makes this worth it for me is getting to know the business owners and their businesses. I get to learn so much just by reviewing their books. I get to see different management styles, different ways of how people handle their finances and how they run their business.

Another great perk of this business is the schedule. Bookkeeping is not ever an urgent matter. I’ve worked jobs where you HAD to hit the deadline, OR ELSE. From time to time, around tax season, yes I may be doing a cleanup and have a preferred deadline per se, but most of my work is not urgent and that is the best feeling.

Being a Bookkeeper is so rewarding!!

🚫 Myth: “A bookkeeper won’t actually make me money”

I hear this one a lot… and I get it.

On the surface, bookkeeping looks like an expense.

But here’s what most business owners don’t realize:

Bad (or nonexistent) bookkeeping is already costing you money.

Just in ways you can’t see.

• Missed tax deductions
• Overspending that goes unnoticed
• Pricing that’s too low because you don’t know your numbers
• Cash flow issues that sneak up on you

I’ve worked with business owners who thought they were “doing okay”…
