🚨 PATH ACT UPDATE IT’S LIFTED! 🚨

Yes 🙌🏽 The PATH Act hold has officially lifted!

Because Presidents Day fell right at the mid-February mark, the legal hold period has now expired — which means the IRS can begin releasing refunds for returns claiming:

✔️ Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
✔️ Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC)

Now let’s talk about what you’ll actually see 👇🏽

What to Expect on Your Transcript
Over the next few days you may start seeing:
Code 846 – Refund Issued (this is the money code 💰)
A Direct Deposit Date (DDD)
Processing updates moving from “PATH message” to funded status

If you’re cycle 05, transcript updates usually happen overnight going into Friday morning. Other cycles may update daily.

📌 What to Expect Next

🗓 First wave of 846 codes: Within a few days after lift
🏦 Early deposit banks: May post as soon as IRS releases funds
🏦 Traditional banks: 1–3 business days after IRS issue date
🔎 Where’s My Refund tool: Updates shortly after transcripts reflect 846

Official IRS guidance says most PATH refunds should be available by early March but many early filers typically see movement before then if there are no holds or offsets.

⚠️ If you don’t see movement immediately, don’t panic. Refunds release in batches. The hold is lifted. Processing begins. Money season loading. 💸

🚨 IMPORTANT TAX REMINDER 🚨
If you had Marketplace health insurance, your 1095-A form is REQUIRED to file your taxes!

✅ It helps determine your tax credit
✅ Missing it can delay your refund
✅ Filing without it can cause IRS issues

📌 Don’t file until you have your 1095-A in hand!

Idk who needs to hear this but… it’s time to file those old previous year taxes.

A lot of you are about to be upset when you realize sites like TurboTax don’t go all the way back to the year you actually need to file.

And no, that doesn’t mean you’re out of options.

Older returns usually need to be
• prepared differently
• sometimes paper filed
• and reviewed for missed credits or issues

That’s why this is the season to get with a reputable tax pro🤏🏾 We’re accepting new clients!!

🚨 PATH Act Refund Update for 2026🚨

The IRS has officially opened tax season Monday, January 26, 2026! 🗓️

If you plan to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), be aware of the timeline to avoid any delays.

Important Dates:

✨ January 26: The IRS starts accepting and processing returns. (Note: Some returns may have been accepted earlier due to initial Hub Testing.)

✨ February 15: According to the PATH Act, the IRS is legally prohibited from releasing refunds for EITC/ACTC filers before this date.

✨ February 25 :This is the estimated date when the first batch of PATH Act refunds will be deposited into bank accounts for those who filed early and opted for Direct Deposit.

The PATH Act applies to returns claiming:
✨ Earned Income Credit (EIC)
✨ Child Tax Credit (CTC / ACTC)

No exceptions—this is federal law.

TAX TIP 📌

Do not wait until last minute to find out whether you owe a past-due obligation.

Contact the Tax Offset Program now to ask about starting a payment plan.

The IRS can offset (take) your entire refund if you owe certain debts.

Important Numbers:
• Tax Offset Program: 800-304-3107
• IRS: 800-829-1040

Address these issues before filing to help protect your refund.
If you need guidance, I’m here to help.

The Internal Revenue Service OFFICIALLY has opened the 2026 tax filing season and began accepting and processing federal individual income tax returns for tax year 2025.

I am accepting new clients, available all day & offer free quotes! 📩

January 26 is the official opening day of tax season, when the IRS begins officially processing returns.🎉

Some returns were already picked up and accepted during HUB testing. Others will begin moving once processing starts.

If you’re claiming:
• Earned Income Credit (EIC)
• Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC)
• American Opportunity Credit (college students)

Your return is delayed by law under the PATH Act. Refunds will not be released until mid-February at the earliest.

This applies to everyone with these credits, no matter who prepared the return or how early it was filed.

After acceptance, PATH Act returns may show “processing” or a PATH Act message. That is normal, and no action is needed.
