Listen this is important information about Early 401(k) Withdrawals.

• Withdraw before age 59½ = taxable income
• May trigger a 10% early withdrawal penalty
• Can reduce your refund or cause you to owe
• Taxes withheld upfront are often not enough
• Penalty may be waived in some cases (qualified domestic relations order/divorce, certain medical expenses, disability)
• Income tax still applies even if the penalty is waived

Always check before you pull from your 401(k).
What helps now can hurt at tax time.

At AK Tax Focus we focus on helping you plan smart now so tax season doesn’t hurt later.

🚨Please Read 🚨

• Claim only your own children.
The IRS verifies dependents using SSNs, residency, and relationship. Incorrect claims can cause audits and refund delays.

• Choose a reputable tax preparer and stay consistent.
Frequent changes or inconsistent filings can raise IRS red flags and slow processing.

• Report ALL income.
Every W-2, every 1099, and all side income must be reported. Missing income often leads to IRS notices and penalties.

• Marketplace insurance? File your 1095-A.
Without it, refunds will be delayed and IRS letters are likely.

• Pay stubs are estimates only.
Final tax returns must be filed using official documents like W-2s and 1099s.

• Issued an IP PIN? It’s required.
Missing or incorrect IP PINs will result in rejected returns or delayed refunds.

Clean filings. Honest income. No shortcuts.
That’s how refunds move smoothly in 2026.

🚨IMPORTANT TAX REMINDER FOR PARENTS 🚨

Your child can file their own tax return, but dependency rules still apply.

When a dependent files, they must check the box:
“Someone else can claim me as a dependent.”
If not, it can delay or block the parent from claiming them.

You may still claim your child if they meet IRS rules:
• Under 19, or under 24 & a full-time students. • Doesn’t provide more than 50% of their own support
• Lives with you more than 6 months

• Age alone does NOT disqualify a child.

• If your child is permanently disabled, there is no age limit (support & residency rules still apply).

Many parents miss out on credits by assuming they can’t claim their child once they turn 18.

Your child can file and you can still claim them if they qualify.
