If your dependent’s SSN was used fraudulently, or you’re getting an e-file rejection due to identity theft, an Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) can help!

✅ What’s an IP PIN? A 6-digit IRS code that stops scammers from using your dependent’s SSN on a fraudulent return.
✅ Why get one? If your return is rejected because someone already claimed your dependent, an IP PIN can protect their identity going forward.
✅ How to apply? Visit IRS.gov/IPPIN to request a PIN for you and your dependents.

📢 Important Federal Reporting Requirement!

Starting January 1, 2024, many businesses must report Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) to the U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). This applies to LLCs, corporations, and foreign companies registered in the U.S.

Who Needs to Report?
LLCs, corporations, or companies created in the U.S.
Foreign companies registered to do business in the U.S.

Who’s Exempt? Certain entities like publicly traded companies and nonprofits are exempt. Check FinCEN’s guide to see if your business qualifies.

Deadlines:
Created before 2024: Report by Jan 1, 2025.
Created in 2024: File within 90 days after official formation.
Created after 2024: File within 30 days after official formation.
