🚨 PSA: Invasive Hammerhead Worm Alert 🚨
We hadn’t seen one on our property in quite a while, but spotted one today, so sharing a quick heads-up!
These worms are invasive and can seriously damage soil health by wiping out beneficial earthworm populations. They also secrete a toxin, so do not handle them with bare hands.
If you come across one, there are a few recommended ways to eliminate them in the linked article. From our experience, table salt has been the most effective.
⚠️ Important: Do NOT squish or cut them up—they can regenerate from even small pieces of their body.
