A change of scenery has a way of bringing fresh perspective!

Most people with charitable goals have the same plan: give when they're gone.

It's generous. And it matters.

But there's often an opportunity they haven't considered: giving during their lifetime, in a way that creates real tax benefits, and lets them actually see the impact.

How an asset is gifted, what form it takes, and when it's given all affect the tax outcome, for the donor and the recipient.

If generosity is part of your plan, it should also be part of your tax conversation.

Contact me here and let’s get that conversation started.

Succession planning isn't just about transitioning a business—it's about protecting your life's work.

We're grateful to have Family Office colleague Scott Winters sharing his expertise on this important topic. His latest article offers practical insights for business owners who want to plan intentionally and preserve what they've built.

Give it a read, and if succession planning is on your radar, we'd love to start that conversation.

Firms that plan while the founder is fully engaged preserve more choices, more value and more trust.

Questions for the business owners in my network:

𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝘅 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻?

If the answer to either is "probably not" — you're not alone. Most people keep these in separate conversations.

But some of the most meaningful planning happens right at that intersection.

What's one financial decision you wish you'd had both perspectives on before you made it?

Life is more than a balance sheet. But the financial decisions woven through it — what you build, what you give, what you leave — deserve a plan that honors all of it.

We help clients think beyond tax season. We work through the full picture: tax strategy, wealth management, retirement planning, risk, and estate — so every part of your financial life is connected and working toward the same goals.

Whether you're in a season of growth, transition, or planning for what comes next, we'd love to be part of that conversation.

Your estate plan and your tax strategy are telling two different stories.

When these two plans work in silos, families often discover the gap at the worst possible time — after a transaction, after an inheritance, after a decision that can't be undone.

We help clients connect the dots: retirement accounts, charitable goals, asset timing, beneficiary decisions — all viewed through both a tax and estate lens.

The financial decisions you make today shape what you leave behind. They deserve a connected plan.

Have you heard? The IRS just made it a lot easier for families funding Trump Accounts.

With Trump Accounts launching July 4, I've been getting the same question from parents and grandparents: "𝗜𝗳 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲, 𝗮𝗺 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝘅 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻?"

Yesterday's Revenue Procedure 2026-25 gives us a clean answer. Contributions to a child's Trump Account are now treated as completed gifts rather than future interests, which means they qualify for the annual gift tax exclusion ($19,000 per recipient in 2026). Meet the conditions, and there's no Form 709 to file.

One thing to keep in mind: there's an account-level cap of $5,000 combined per child, per year, during the growth period. That means a parent and grandparent are sharing one $5,000 bucket, not stacking two separate ones.

If you've been thinking about seeding an account for a child or grandchild this year, this removes the paperwork hurdle — just keep the contributions within those limits.

If you want to talk through how this fits into your broader gifting or estate plan, that's exactly the kind of conversation I'd love to have. Use the link to my website and contact me!
