**UPDATE | Minnesota Pass-Through Entity Tax**

The PTE Tax in Minnesota which lets qualifying partnerships, S-corporations, and certain LLCs pay state income tax at the entity level for their owners is only available through tax years beginning before January 1, 2026.

That means the last tax year for which a PTE election can be made is 2025.

After tax years beginning in 2026, the PTE election will no longer be available under current law.

If you or a business you know operates as a partnership, S-corporation, or LLC (taxed as one) in Minnesota, this is an important deadline to keep in mind.
