One thing golf teaches you pretty quickly: you can’t control every outcome, but you can control your approach.

You can’t take back the last shot.
You can’t control every bounce.
And worrying about the final score doesn’t make the next swing any better.

Life and business aren’t all that different.

Set your target.
Stay disciplined.
Handle the challenges.
Keep improving.
And don’t forget to enjoy the journey.

We spend so much time focused on where we want to end up that sometimes we overlook the importance of simply executing what’s in front of us today.

Not every day will be your best day. Not every swing will be your best swing.

But you can always make the next one count.

Focus on today. The results will follow.

Stay focused. Keep swinging. Your best is yet to come.

Tuesday Money Playbook

We spend a lot of time talking about building wealth.

But protecting what you've already built matters just as much.

Your income. Your home. Your family. Your plans for the future.

A good financial strategy should consider what happens when life doesn't go according to plan.

Because ultimately, financial planning isn't just about money.

It's about the people depending on you.

Saturday Reflection

Two birthdays in one month.

A third grader.

A kindergartener.

Somebody tell me how that happened so fast. 😂

August has been a pretty special month in our house. We celebrated both of our girls’ birthdays, started another school year, and watched them take a couple more steps toward becoming the young ladies they’re going to be.

And let’s face it…

I do this for them.

I work hard because I want to provide for them.
I push myself because I want them to see what pursuing big goals looks like.
I keep growing because I want to become the kind of man, husband, and father they can be proud of.

But I’m also learning that providing for your kids means a lot more than what you can give them financially.

They need your time.

They need you at the birthday parties. The first days of school. The pool days. The vacations. The ordinary Tuesdays.

They need you there.

That’s become one of my biggest definitions of success.

Build something meaningful. Work hard. Chase big goals.

But don’t become so busy building a life for the people you love that you miss the life you’re building with them.

These two are my why. ❤️

Life is happening now. Build a career that lets you be present for it.

If you’re building a career but wondering whether there’s another way to define success, I’d love to connect.

A good life isn’t something you stumble into.

You build it.

And the older I get, the more I realize success isn’t just about what you accomplish professionally or what you accumulate along the way.

It’s about creating a life that actually reflects what matters to you.

A life with time for the people you love.
Freedom to enjoy the moments you’ve worked for.
Purpose behind the work you do.
Relationships that make the journey worthwhile.
And the discipline to keep growing along the way.

I’m incredibly grateful for moments like this, but the goal isn’t to spend life constantly waiting for the next vacation.

The goal is to build a life you don’t need a vacation from.

Work hard. Build freedom. Invest in your people. Enjoy the journey.

Because success isn’t just about where you end up.

It’s about who you become — and who gets to enjoy the journey with you.

Make every day count.

Tuesday Money Playbook

One of the most powerful tools for building wealth isn’t picking the perfect investment.

It’s time.

Start early. Stay consistent. Reinvest. And give compounding the opportunity to work.

The hardest part may also be the simplest: leave it alone long enough to grow.

Small decisions today can make a very big difference tomorrow.

Saturday Reflection

This week looked a little different.

I spent the past week in Dallas completing New York Life’s Partner Development Program alongside a group of people I’ve been fortunate to learn, grow, compete, laugh, and build friendships with along the way.

And now we can officially say it:

We graduated!

I’m proud of the accomplishment, but I’m even more grateful for the people who were part of it.

One of the things I’ve learned throughout my career is that growth rarely happens in isolation. Put yourself around people who challenge you, share ideas with you, hold you accountable, and genuinely want to see each other succeed, and you tend to become better yourself.

There was plenty of learning this week.

There was also good food, a baseball game, some laughs, late conversations, and time spent enjoying Dallas together.

That’s part of what I’ve come to appreciate about this career.

Yes, there are goals to chase and work to be done.

But there are also friendships to build, experiences to have, and opportunities to keep becoming better at what you do.

I’m heading home grateful for the experience, proud of this group, and excited about what comes next.

Never stop learning. Never stop growing. And make sure you enjoy the people you’re building alongside.

If you’re curious about a career where personal growth, leadership development, and relationships are part of the journey, let’s connect.

The future you want is built by the choices you make today.

It’s easy to look at the big goals in life and feel like we should be doing more, moving faster, or have everything figured out.

But most of the things worth building don’t happen because of one big decision.

They happen through the small ones.

The decision to show up.
To take the next step.
To stay consistent when progress feels slow.
To keep believing when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.

And as a dad, that message means even more to me.

Our kids are watching how we approach life. The goals we chase. The way we handle setbacks. The priorities we choose. And hopefully, the example we set teaches them to believe that they can build something meaningful too.

Think big. Take action. Stay consistent. Keep believing.

You don’t need to have it all figured out today.

You just need to make today count.

We diversify our investments. Why not diversify how our money is taxed?

Taxable. Tax-deferred. Tax-free.

Each can play a different role in a retirement strategy, and having money available across different tax treatments can give you more choices when retirement arrives.

The goal isn't to predict where taxes will be 10 or 20 years from now.

It's to build flexibility for whatever comes next.

Three buckets. More choices. Greater flexibility.

**Saturday Reflection**

Some days don't need to be complicated to be memorable.

A day at Lake Lure. Time on the boat. Playing on the beach. The girls getting to spend time with their cousin, grandparents and family. No agenda. No rushing from one thing to the next.

Just enjoying the day.

As my girls get older, I'm becoming more aware of how quickly these seasons come and go. I can't slow that down—but I can make a conscious effort to be there for more of it.

That's one of the things I've come to value most about the career I've built.

The flexibility wasn't handed to me. It took years of work, learning, setbacks and laying the foundation. And there's still plenty of work to be done.

But days like this remind me what I was building *for*.

Success isn't having a life you constantly need a vacation from. For me, it's having the ability to work hard, pursue big goals—and still show up for the people who matter most.

**Life is happening now. Build a career that lets you be present for it.**

If you've ever wondered what that kind of career could look like, I'd be happy to share my experience. Let's connect.

There’s something powerful about watching a child look out at the world ahead of them.

They don’t see the setbacks.
They don’t see the reasons something might not work.
They see possibility.

Somewhere along the way, adults can lose a little of that.

We start focusing on how far we still have to go instead of recognizing how far we’ve already come.

So here’s my Thursday reminder — for myself as much as anyone else:

Keep your vision.
Trust the process.
Stay the course.
Keep believing.

You may not be where you want to be yet, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t getting there.

Keep working. Keep growing. Keep becoming.

Sometimes the view ahead is exactly the reminder we need.
