Are you turning 70 1/2! Once you turn 70 and a half years old it is time to take your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). The question is when does this need to happen? The very first RMD must be taken no later than April Fool's Day or April 1st the following year you turn 70 1/2. Therefore if you turned 70 1/2 in 2018 you have until April 1, 2019 to take your RMD. If you have questions about IRA's and RMD's give us a call.
