🚨 Quick & Important IRS Update 🚨

The IRS has temporarily turned off the student loan collection indicator due to a pause by the U.S. Department of Education on involuntary student loan collections.

What this means for YOU 👇

✅ No tax refund offsets for federal student loans (for now)
✅ No automatic wage garnishments connected to tax filings
✅ Defaulted student loans should not block or delay tax resolutions during this pause

Why this is happening:
The Department of Education is delaying collections while rolling out simpler repayment and rehabilitation options, including giving some borrowers a second chance to rehabilitate defaulted loans.

💡 If student loans have been holding you back from filing or resolving taxes, now is a good time to take action.

👩‍⚕️ 1099 Nurses: Don’t Leave Money on the Table 💰

If you received a 1099-NEC, you’re considered self-employed — which means you can deduct legitimate business expenses when filing your taxes.

Common deductions many 1099 nurses qualify for ⬇️

✅ License & renewal fees
✅ CEUs, certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS)
✅ Scrubs, lab coats & required work gear
✅ Stethoscopes & medical supplies
✅ Mileage, travel, parking & tolls
✅ Short-term housing (travel nurses)
✅ Phone, laptop & internet (business portion)
✅ Malpractice insurance
✅ Tax prep & accounting fees
✅ Home office (if qualified)

⚠️ Must be ordinary & necessary
⚠️ Keep receipts & mileage logs
⚠️ Personal expenses are not deductible

📌 Many 1099 nurses overpay taxes simply due to poor tracking.

📲 Book a consultation to make sure your return is filed correctly and strategically.

Want to apply Tax Refund Advance❓
Here is a Friendly Reminder:

IRS rules are clear. A tax return cannot be e-filed and a refund advance cannot be approved without a W-2 or approved IRS substitute. Paycheck stubs can be used for estimates ONLY, not to file.

That’s IRS compliance‼️

💢Reminder: The PATH Act is still in effect for this upcoming tax season.

If your tax return includes the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), your refund cannot be issued before February 15.

This delay is required by law under the PATH Act and is enforced by the Internal Revenue Service.

What this means for you:

Your return can still be filed early
The IRS can still accept your return
But your refund will not be processed or released until after February 15

This applies even if everything on your return is correct.

This delay provides the IRS with additional time to verify income and prevent fraudulent claims before issuing payments.
