Happy Tax Tuesday Freedom Fam !

✨ You can start checking for your direct deposit date on your transcript since it’s updated before the “ where’s my refund” portal is updated.

✨ STOP checking “Where’s my refund”. You are causing yourself problems by overdoing it. If you aren’t sure how to check your transcript, here are the steps:

✨ STEP 1 : Go to irs.gov
✨ STEP 2 : Click on “sign into your account”
✨ STEP 3: Under Individual click “sign in to online account”.
✨ STEP 4: Create an account or sign in with the existing account.
✨ STEP 5: Once you get into your account go to the “menu” at the top right corner.
✨ STEP 6: Select “Tax Records”.
✨ STEP 7: Once the tax records page opens you will see your name and the “2023 return summary”.
✨ STEP 8: Scroll down to the bottom of that page and find where it says “Get transcript online” and hit “Get Transcript”.
✨ STEP 9: Put the reason as “Other” and leave the customer file number “Blank”
✨ STEP 10: look for “Account Transcript” and click the year “2023”.
✨ STEP 11: Once the transcript populates go to where it says, “TRANSACTIONS” and find the codes under it to the left side.
✨ STEP 12: Read codes then relate back to this status and find the meaning. YOU ARE LOOKING FOR 846. Normal codes to see while waiting are 150, 766 and 768.

✨ IF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS are BLANK just be PATIENT that means you are waiting for them to process yours. Do not worry UNLESS it has been more than 21 days from the opening of the PATH act. And even then an empty page does not mean anything bad.
