Many women begin a divorce hoping mediation will make the process easier, calmer, and less confrontational.

And sometimes it does.

But in my experience working with women navigating complex divorces, the reality is that mediation does not always play out the way people expect.
In this article for The Art of Healthy Living, I talk about some of the dynamics that can shape how mediation unfolds and why the process can look very different depending on the situation.

I was honored to be a guest on the latest episode of The Rewrite podcast with Wendy Lowy Sloane.

During our conversation, we talked about many of the emotions women experience during divorce, the uncertainty that can come with major financial decisions, and how overwhelming this transition can feel when so much is changing at once. We also discussed the importance of slowing down, understanding the bigger financial picture, and approaching the process in a way that supports the life a woman wants to build moving forward.

Thank you to Wendy for creating such a warm and thoughtful space for this conversation.

One of the most significant and often underestimated decisions in retirement is where you choose to live.

While it’s commonly framed as a lifestyle choice, the reality is that this decision carries long-term financial consequences that can shape the sustainability of your retirement plan.

Retirement isn’t just about having enough. It’s about making choices that allow your resources to support the life you want to live.

I was honored to see my book Stronger Than You Know recently featured in USA Today.

The article touches on something I care deeply about in my work with women navigating divorce: understanding the financial decisions that come with this transition and how those choices can shape the years ahead.

I’m grateful to see more awareness being brought to this conversation.

When you’re going through a divorce, most of the focus is on what you’re getting.

How much of the investment account.

Which assets go to whom.

Whether the division feels fair.

But there’s a quieter question that often gets missed: What will this actually cost you later?

Dividing investments in divorce can create hidden future tax consequences. Learn how taxable accounts work, what to watch for, and how to avoid costly surprises.

Many women going through divorce are incredibly capable and successful, yet the financial side of the process can still feel overwhelming.

Women’s Journal recently featured my work and shared some of the ideas behind my book Stronger Than You Know, including why financial clarity and the right support system can make such a difference when navigating complex, high asset divorces.
Thank you to Women’s Journal for highlighting this important topic.

Confidence is one of the first things divorce tries to take from you.

Many women walk into this process feeling like they should have known more, done more, or seen things sooner. That loss of confidence can make every decision feel heavier than it needs to be.

What actually rebuilds confidence is not one big moment.

It is small, steady evidence.

Asking a question you were nervous to ask.
Understanding a financial detail you never learned before.
Advocating for yourself in a conversation that used to intimidate you.

Those moments matter. They are proof that you are already moving forward.

I talk about this shift in Chapter 6 of Stronger Than You Know, where confidence is rebuilt through information, advocacy, and learning how to trust yourself inside the process again.
