Think Accounting

Think Accounting Apparently this idea was worth suing before it even started. Someone is spending $350/hr in attorneys to stop this, although it’s not an actual accounting firm.

Staying quiet feels safe. It’s a lie.

It’s how you stay exactly where you are, in life and in business. We’re told to keep our heads down, stay humble, don’t make waves. So nobody says the quiet part out loud, and nothing ever changes. Not a person. Not a company. Nothing.

Here’s the part that stings: if you see something wrong and stay silent, you’re part of the problem. Sit with that.

Speaking up is hard. It’ll cost you something. But staying quiet costs more, it eats away at you in ways you won’t notice until your body forces you to. And you’re worth more than the version of you that keeps swallowing it.

David didn’t pray about Goliath. He picked up the rock and ended it.

Fun fact‼️ iPhones don’t have a emoji for grass or a mower. Just figured that out if you care to know.

Chapter 4’s late.
Sue me. (Someone might.)

Turns out you can’t work in the field your whole resume is built on as a young professional.

So I’ve been out here living my best life- honestly.

Amazon Flex.
Instacart.
Schooling and Professional Development.
Side marketing gigs.

Ask me about optimal delivery routes, I’ve got you-still getting used to Cleveland drivers, coming from the excitement of the wild roads of West Central, Ohio.

Here’s what I didn’t see coming:
the people.

Family,
friends,
clients (some from years ago) showing up with actual care. And not one of them wanted to talk business.

They wanted to know how I was doing.
What life’s been like. Showing true genuine care. You know who you are and THANK YOU!

Isn’t that the whole purpose?
That’s what I built my business on.

People over profit.

I meant it when it was easy to say.
I mean it more now.

Chapter 4’s coming.

I built the brand. Named it. Directed every revision.
9 weeks, 60+ emails, every decision mine.
The company wasn’t even formed until two days after the final revision.
Then they sued me for competing with it.

Someone disclosed a chronic health condition from a doctor’s office on a day they showed up to work anyway.

The response was a conversation about what it meant for their ownership stake.

Equity is important. So is the person who holds it.
Compassion much?

They sued me over a figment of imagination. “Willful, wanton, and malicious” their words, stated twice, two separate counts.

Meanwhile the majority partner filing the lawsuit was quietly building their own competing Al software the entire time. I had to pry for deets.

One of us was building something that competed with the business.

Guess what... It wasn’t me.

Showed up to a partner meeting from a doctor’s office. Holter monitor on. Zoom barely loaded. Made it anyway.

Told them what was going on with my health.

The response was a conversation about whether my ownership stake still made sense if this was “going to be a regular thing.”

Ch. 1 · They Called Me Willful, Wanton, and Malicious

No clients. No revenue. No EIN. No logo yet. Five counts. Punitive damages.

Willful, wanton, and malicious” — said twice.
Wild how that works. 👀
