If you’re trying to picture what that shift actually looks like day to day, here are a few things to keep in mind:
➡️ Maintenance and repairs are now yours to manage. No more calling a landlord to fix a leaky faucet, replace an appliance, or handle an HVAC issue. Planning ahead for these expenses becomes part of homeownership.
➡️ You can personalize your space however you want. From paint colors to renovations to small projects over time. You’re no longer limited by lease agreements or landlord rules.
➡️ Taxes and insurance become part of your monthly payment, and can increase (or decrease) over time. Although you won’t have to worry about rent hikes, your monthly mortgage payment may fluctuate based on those factors. Plan accordingly.
➡️ You start building equity and long-term wealth with each payment, rather than paying rent to your landlord with nothing to show for it.
If you’re thinking about making the move, I’m happy to help you map it out and explain all the details. Send me a message any time.
