I’m seeing ads going around saying that if you’re over 65, you must file “Schedule 1-A” or you could face penalties.

👉 That is NOT true.

Here’s the real deal:
✔️ Schedule 1-A is optional
✔️ It’s only used if you qualify for certain new deductions
✔️ There is NO penalty for not filing it

These ads are designed to scare you into clicking or signing up for services you may not even need.

💡 Bottom line:
If you’re over 65, nothing has changed about your filing requirements just because of this form.
