From the Founder:
I created this network out of my own desire to be connected to woman who feel called to empower this generation of urban girls for success. I began this work over ten years ago after my health took a dangerous turn, leaving me wondering WHY I was really here. That question has taken me on a wonderful journey of discovering my life purpose. I do not have enough time to tell you th
e half but what I will share with you is that I discovered that my assignment and purpose in life is to empower girls and women for purpose and success. My first step was to found the Girls Living Life On Purpose organization www.gllopinc.org and there are no words to describe the joy this work brings to my life each and everyday. As a result of founding this organization, I have met some amazing women on a similar journey and that led to my second divine download to create the Women Empowering Girls Network in 2012. This network is still emerging and the awesome women we have trained and empowered has exceeded our expectations. At the end of the day, our goal is simple. To equip women to build a business that helps them get their message out and into the lives of girls, who need their program/services. To empower women with best practices to build and sustain their girl program. To support and encourage women through the ups and downs of doing this great work. To position women to get the funding and support from their community to continue the great work they are doing. To cheer women on as get in the trenches each and everyday to walk alongside our girls through the good, bad and sometime ugly journey from adolescence to womanhood.
