Back in the office after LPL Focus 2026 with a slightly longer to-do list than I had before! 😊

This year gave me a lot to think about: creating capacity, continuing to improve our client experience, building a great place to work, and making sure that as technology changes our industry, we never lose the human connection at the heart of what we do.

And Focus wasn't all work! Jesse Cole, founder of the Savannah Bananas, brought plenty of energy, Carrie Underwood put on an incredible show, and I got to experience it all with Kara.

A great few days. A lot to think about. Now, back to work!

There are so many reasons to create a will this month, but here are three big ones to consider:

Anniversaries have a way of making you pause, even when they're just one chapter of a much longer journey.

This week marks five years with LPL Financial and the JFC Advisor Network, and I've found myself reflecting on what has remained constant along the way.

As I looked at the painting in our front office today, I was reminded of the mission that has guided My Own Money from the very beginning. Commissioned to reflect our firm's logo and beautifully brought to life by our talented family friend and artist, Jennifer Thornton Moreman, it serves as a daily reminder of why My Own Money exists.
