📌 “No Tax on Tips” and “No Tax on Overtime”: what do they really mean?
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act created federal deductions for qualified tips and qualified overtime pay for tax years 2025–2028.
✅ Qualified tips: deduction up to $25,000.
✅ Qualified overtime: deduction up to $12,500, or $25,000 for married couples filing jointly, generally limited to the qualifying overtime premium.
Starting in tax year 2026, these amounts will be reported separately on certain tax forms.
⚠️ These are deductions, not tax credits. They reduce taxable income but do not provide the deducted amount as a direct refund. Tips and overtime may still be subject to Social Security, Medicare and other applicable taxes.
Keep accurate records and consult your tax professional.

📌 “No Tax on Tips” y “No Tax on Overtime”: ¿qué significan realmente?
