You really can’t make this stuff up! 😳🎶

Ironically, I was on FaceTime yesterday signing up my former mentor Valerie for life insurance when the news that Dolly Parton had passed away flashed across the top of my phone. I actually thought it was a joke at first. Sadly, it wasn’t. 🙏🏽🕊️

Now here’s why the timing was so crazy…

Valerie named her daughter Jolene after Dolly Parton’s legendary song Jolene. So at the exact moment I learned Dolly was gone, I was talking to Jolene’s mom! 😮

And apparently musical names run in the family because there are quite a few famous renditions of “Valerie” too. 😃🎶

And I happened to be in Dolly's home state: Tennessee 💙

Talk about one of those strange little full-circle moments life gives you.

And this meme definitely made me laugh today. 😂 Apparently somebody went looking for the WRONG Jolene!

Rest in peace, Dolly. 🙏🏽🤍🕊️

3 hours of sleep… and somehow I packed a whole week into one Friday! 😂💙

🏥 Enrolled more than half a dozen patients into health insurance at one of the 9 clinics my company serves.

🛒 Grocery shopping because real life doesn’t stop for business trips. 😂

🎬 Caught my usual Friday matinee.

😴 Took a MUCH-needed nap.

🍽️ Had dinner with a retiree who wants financial guidance to help build a stronger future for her granddaughter, niece and nephews. That’s legacy. ❤️

👮🏽‍♂️ Wrapped up the night mentoring my brother, a NY State police officer who’s also a licensed insurance agent and financial educator.

Healthcare. Business. Family. Mentorship. And a little fun in between.

Productive? Absolutely. Balanced? Kinda. 😂

And don’t worry… I caught up on my sleep last night! 😴🙌🏽

50. A whole half century! 🎂🥳💙

I just had the BEST 50th birthday celebration surrounded by my family in beautiful Cancun! And even after saying it all day, it’s still unbelievable that I’m actually 50! 😂

But I love it. And I can’t wait to turn 100! Well… actually, I CAN wait. 🤣🤣

I pray the next 50 years are even greater than the first because I’m entering this chapter wiser, friendlier, more patient and with a much deeper appreciation for life.

When I became a teenage mom, I didn’t even know what Similac was. 🤣 Yet God blessed me to raise two sons and now enjoy two grandchildren, all four of whom I believe are millionaires in the making.

When I landed my dream journalism job at 24, I thought I had made it. I never imagined that years later I would achieve an even bigger dream: a work-optional lifestyle with time freedom, location freedom and financial freedom.

And when I was 31 and didn’t believe I would live to see 40, I certainly couldn’t picture this moment.

Yet here I am.

FIFTY. A half century. And I feel more alive than ever. 💙

I’m grateful for every lesson, every detour, every blessing, every person I’ve loved and every version of myself that got me here.

Now I’m looking forward to the next 50 years filled with peace, joy, good health, love, laughter, unforgettable moments and beautiful memories… while continuing to encourage and empower others and do my part to enlarge God’s Kingdom.

If the first 50 years were the foundation, I can’t wait to see what God builds with the next 50.

Chapter 50 has officially begun. 👑🥂🎂

And judging by these pictures… I think I’m going to like it here. 💙✨

I’ve passed Lookout Mountain countless times while traveling through the Tennessee Valley to serve clients.

On Monday, I finally stopped and stood on top of it. ⛰️

It felt powerful having that massive mountain beneath my feet instead of watching it tower over me from the highway.

Work hard. Serve others. But don’t forget to stop and enjoy the view😃
