Beth Bordner, senior appraiser at GreenStone, founded D Bar E Cattle Company with her husband Drew. Starting as first-generation farmers in 2022 with one purebred red angus cow, their herd has grown to a dozen on 20 acres ๐ฑ. GreenStoneโs Young, Beginning, & Small Farmer program has helped them expand through land financing ๐.
Beth balances her full-time job with farm life, raising quality bulls and heifers for other farmers - with her one-year-old son Dean by her side. ๐ฎ โI think growing up on a farm is one of the best things that taught me valuable skills I still use to this day, that I wanted to ensure I can instill in my kids. It requires learning hard work, working until the job gets done and that other things โ like cattle โ rely on you to take care of them,โ said Beth.
Her hands-on experience gives her a deeper connection to the farmers she serves at GreenStone, and helps her stay informed on the challenges and realities of agriculture, making her an even more informed appraiser ๐.
