🚨TAX DEADLINES YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR 2026 🚨
Tax season is not over just because you filed… there are multiple deadlines people forget every year 👀💰

Here’s a quick breakdown so nobody says they didn’t know ⬇️

📌 April 15, 2026
✅ Last day to file your personal tax return (1040)
✅ Last day to file an extension (Form 4868)
⚠️ Extension gives you more time to FILE… NOT more time to PAY

📌 October 15, 2026
✅ Deadline if you filed an extension

📌 Estimated Taxes Due (Self-employed / 1099 / business owners)
💰 April 15
💰 June 15
💰 September 15
💰 January 15

📌 Business Returns Deadlines
📊 March 16 – S-Corp & Partnerships due
📊 April 15 – C-Corp due
📊 September 15 – Extended S-Corp / Partnership due
📊 October 15 – Extended C-Corp due

⚠️ Missing deadlines = penalties + interest
⚠️ Extension does NOT stop penalties if you owe
⚠️ Self-employed must pay quarterly

Taxes is not just filing one time a year… it’s year-round. 📑🔥

If you need help staying compliant this season, talk to a professional BEFORE the deadline hits.

The top of the w4 is self explanatory.

Where many are messing up is the filing status.

Head of household does not apply if you don’t have children or dependents. You should be filing single.

Most think because they pay all their bills and rent they are considered HOH and that’s false!

If you are on low income rent you should be filing single! Not HOH

Step 2 check the box if any of those situations apply.

Step 3 If your dependents are under 17 and input that number is the first box and multiply it. 17 and older those dependents go into other dependent box and you add both up and put the total on the line.

Step 4 include all other income that doesn’t withhold taxes on 4a (retirement, social security, disability, self employment on 1099) ** these just SOME examples

4b leave blank

4c if you want extra withholdings taken out especially when you do tax exempt this needs to happen to play catch up for the tax trouble you will be in.

Sign it and turn it in. I hope this helps.

🛑 PATH ACT + TRANSCRIPT GAME READ THIS 👀

If you claimed kids and your refund looks stuck, relax 😮‍💨You’re not denied. You’re not flagged. You’re in PATH Act hold ⛓️

🔒 WHAT’S THE PATH ACT?
It’s an IRS law that holds refunds if you claimed
👶🏽 Earned Income Credit (EIC)
👶🏽 Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC)

Why? People were scamming with fake dependents 🧢
IRS locked it down 🔐

📅 WHEN DOES IT LIFT?
Around Feb 15–16 every year 🗓️

That means
❌ No refund before then
❌ Early filing doesn’t matter
❌ Clean returns still wait

💡 REAL TEA: TRANSCRIPTS TELL THE TRUTH ☕
Your Account Transcript updates before WMR 👀

🧾 CODES THAT MATTER
150 = Return received ✅
806 = Withholding posted 💵
766 / 768 = Child credits posted 👶🏽
846 = 💰💰 Refund issued

🚨 846 = your money is coming
The date next to it is your deposit date 📆

No 846 yet? You’re waiting, not denied.

🔁 CYCLE CODES (STOP REFRESHING 😩)
01–04 = Daily updates
05 = Weekly updates (most people)

If you’re cycle 05, you update once a week, usually Friday ⏰

🎯 I post to educate 📚 not panic people

If you Receive This Letter NO YOUR TAX PREPARER DID NOT DO ANYTHING WRONG! Verification letters are usually sent out at random in lottery style fashion, but if you do receive PLEASE CALL YOUR TAX PREPARER to walk you through verification. If you answer any of these questions wrong you could prolong the processing of your refund. Verification is quick and easy. Don’t turn a 5 min phone call with your preparer into a 6month wait on an appointment with the irs to verify because you tried to do something on your own! That’s what your tax preparer is here for! To see you through the full funding process and even after if need be!

🗣️ PATH ACT REMINDER 🚨
Your tax pro CANNOT lift the PATH Act to make your refund come faster. This is the LAW, and it’s been this way since 2015.

IT HAS NOT CHANGED!!!

👉 If you are claiming:
• Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
• Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC)
The IRS is legally not allowed to release those refunds until MID-FEBRUARY.

Not me.
Not your tax lady or man
Not your cousin’s homegirl who “do taxes.”

📌 It’s federal law.

So yes, we can file you early.
Yes, we can offer you a refund advance LOAN.
Yes, your refund can already be accepted.
But NO — nobody can make the IRS release those funds any faster.

Now let your tax pro do his or her job and let the IRS do theirs 😌💼💰

📢 TAX LOAN PSA 📢

Attention all tax clients 👀👇🏾

Loan approval rules have changed now to in season. Banks will NOT review a tax loan application until the return is ACCEPTED by the IRS ⏳

That means:
✔️ Filed is not enough
✔️ Acknowledged is not enough
✔️ IRS ACCEPTED comes FIRST

Once the IRS accepts the return, then the bank looks at it for loan approval 💸

This slows things down a bit, but it also cuts fraud, protects refunds, and keeps everyone compliant 👍🏾

So no delays aren’t the preparer. No calling won’t speed it up. Acceptance first. Loan second.💯

Good morning & Happy Money Making Monday 🤑. YES, today is the day the IRS opens 🥰. Let’s go over a few things 😊💪🏽.

💎 What “JANUARY 26th THE IRS IS OPEN” means: Today your return will start processing 👏🏽. Even if it was “Accepted” last week, or filed January 4th, it will now start processing for a funding date TODAY 💪🏽.

💎 We are all ready to check Where’s My Refund 👀 Alright now, tax filers without EIC, give Where’s My Refund some time 🫶🏽. Your “Up to 21 days” starts now ‼️ & YES, you could receive a wonderful funding date in 5 or 10 days 🙌🏽.

💎 Tax filers with EIC or ACTC, I’m sure as you already know the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act, also know as the “Path Act” will not lift until after February 15th 📅. No worries, after that you will start seeing your funding dates 🤑.

💎 Lastly, YES your refund is fine ✅. We are simply on the IRS time ⏰. Refund dates will be dropping soon 🙏🏽.

🚨 IRS TRANSCRIPT CODES WHAT THEY ACTUALLY MEAN ‼️‼️

826 – Part or all of your refund was taken to pay a debt (offset). This can be child support, student loans, prior tax debt, etc.

846 – Refund approved. This means the IRS has issued your refund or scheduled it.

570 – Refund hold. The IRS needs to review something before releasing your refund.

971 – Notice issued. This usually explains why there is a hold or what additional information is needed. Often paired with code 570.

810 – Refund freeze. This is more serious and usually involves suspected issues that require review before any refund can be released.

811 – Refund freeze reversed. The IRS lifted the freeze after reviewing the issue.

091 – Revocation of being taxed as a small business. This is related to entity tax classification, not personal refunds.

177 – Abatement of estimated tax penalty. The IRS removed a penalty that was previously assessed.

768 – Earned Income Credit (EITC) applied to the account.

424 – Examination request. Your return was referred to IRS Examination or Appeals for review.

425 – Examination reversed. The prior 424 review was closed or removed.

Important: Transcript codes are not random and they don’t mean “panic.” They tell you exactly where your return is in the process. Always read the codes together, not in isolation.

01/20/2026

Let’s talk about FEES because a lot of people don’t understand how this works.

There is a preparer fee — that pays the person actually preparing your return.

Then there are bank fees — charged by the bank that processes your refund if you choose that option.

If your preparer is under a company, there may be a Service Bureau fee.

There’s also a transmitter fee — that’s for securely sending your tax return to the IRS.

Add in e-file fees for submitting your return electronically.

And yes, sometimes document fees — pulling transcripts, verifying info, extra paperwork, etc.

All of these fees are separate.
None of them are random.
And they don’t all go to the preparer.

So before comparing prices or saying “taxes shouldn’t cost that much,” be mindful of that you’re actually paying for:Quality, compliance, professional services, and protection

Good morning ☀️

Let’s talk about the benefits of early filing. Early filing is an opportunity to test systems , catch software glitches/ errors , revise , and adjust before the official season begins .

Just like the IRS pulls for those early returns before they open to test their system… if people didn’t file early how would they test their systems ?

I’ve done pre early filing 3 years now , and it’s probably the best thing I’ve done to get me prepared for the busiest time of the year .

Clients who file early are the start of what we need to set the tone for a great season.

We don’t test systems during the season , we start before the season begins to enhance our future clients experience

Let’s DO THIS 👈🏾🫶🏽
