🤬 SCAM ALERT 🤬
My mother received this "Publisher's Clearing House" 2nd Place Winner Announcement of a $2.5 Million prize, postmarked 2/25/26 from NY, NY. It included a $9,600 check that appears to be a legit check with a check date of 12/2/25 and "Void after 90 days" to "cover insurance and attorney fees". It specifically says Federal & State laws require you to keep confidential and NOT discuss with anyone.
You must call your Claims Manager to get instructions before depositing the check. These instructions likely include wiring most, if not all, of the check amount to "cover processing and taxes".
By the time the $9,600 check is processed and rejected by the drawn upon bank either bouncing or as fraud where your bank reverses it out of your account, you are out $,$$$!!!
My Mom, of course, didn't fall for it and brought it to me to look at.
