Ask Without Fear!

Ask Without Fear! We want to make it ridiculously easy for nonprofit leaders to find fundraising training!

"Ask Without Fear!" is an intentionally slim, easy-to-read book designed to help get "normal people" (people who don't love fundraising like we do!) quickly up to speed on asking for major gifts. Written for board members and volunteers, it has also become a favorite among fundraising staff and nonprofit executive directors. Like all our tools, the book and DVD offers practical, down-to-earth adv

ice that has helped take the fear out of asking for thousands of people around the world! To get the book or DVD

June 30th: A Note to Fundraisers

As the fiscal year closes for many nonprofits, we know what that means: new goals, new expectations, and very little time to celebrate the hard work that got us here.

Back on June 30, 2011, Marc Pitman recorded a short video that still rings true today. It was, and is, a simple message:

Thank you.

If you're a fundraiser, you may not always get the spotlight. But your work fuels the mission. You make it possible for others to serve—whether that’s feeding families, protecting wildlife, advancing the arts, or any number of world-changing efforts.

So today, before the next fiscal year kicks off in full force, we want to say it again:
Thank you.

You’re making a difference. And the world needs more people like you.

Or are you frozen from reaching out because you're afraid you don't have the answers to every single question people may ask?

You're not alone. And there is hope.

In this 6-minute clip from Marc A. Pitman's training on overcoming objections, he shows you how to prepare.

Marc A. Pitman just wrote a post on 3 reasons to register for the Nonprofit Storytelling Conference this week.

And saving $1000 is not one of the top two reasons!

Sharing the joys of leadership and helping nonprofits fundraise effectively is a joy and a passion.

I’m grateful to Foellinger Foundation, Association of Fundraising Professionals Northeast Indiana Chapter, and Charitable Gift Planners of Northeastern Indiana for making this possible.

I loved that people told me they were leaving with lots of practical steps they could take.

My favorite comment came from an attendee who said she was scared that a six hour training would be boring. After six hours, she said,”Not boring!” 😂

Fort Wayne, Indiana is an amazing city. I look forward to coming back soon!

(Oh, and for the first time since Beth Ann Locke called me “the Johnny Appleseed of fundraising,” I got to actually sit with Johnny!)

📢What if your nonprofit could easily tap into the billions of dollars being donated by corporations every year?

Every year more businesses are making an effort to step up their corporate philanthropy game, which means more opportunities for nonprofits to leverage that as a fundraising avenue. Getting started can be daunting, but luckily it isn’t as difficult as it sounds.

We're excited to be hosting a webinar on corporate philanthropy with Grace Green at Double the Donation. Be sure to register below and drop your questions in the comments!
