A simple task but it can prove to be a powerful anchor for the year.

No word is too basic or too complex or right or wrong.

Just something to remind us each day that we get a fresh chance to create the year of our choosing.

Everyone loves a holiday weekend, but how many of us know much at all about the origins of Labor Day?

Here are a few fast facts:

- Labor Day originated from the organized labor movement in the late 19th century.
- President Grover Cleveland declared it a national holiday in 1894. (It’s always the first Monday in September!)
- According to modern fashion experts, it’s completely acceptable to wear white after Labor Day. 😉

Toss out that trivia at your barbecues, and enjoy the last days of summer!
