You don’t have to have it all figured out to be making progress.

I think sometimes as business owners we’re so focused on what’s next that we forget to look back at what we’ve already accomplished.

The things that feel normal today were probably things you were hoping and working toward six months ago.

That client you landed.
That problem you finally figured out.
That connection you made.
That scary decision you finally made.
Even the mistakes that taught you something.

It all counts.

So here’s your Monday reminder (and mine too 😉):

A few years into running her business, a client of mine told me something that stuck with me:

There’s just something special about a small-town parade! 🖤💛

This was my first time participating in the Freeburg Homecoming Parade, and it brought out a feeling I didn’t even know existed. As we made our way through town, I kept thinking, “Wow… I’m really doing this!” Seeing my business represented felt surreal!

Watching everyone come together—despite the crazy heat—was truly amazing. From the people lining the streets, waving, taking pictures, asking questions, and even launching a few water balloons 😂… the small-town energy was real!

A huge thank-you to my family and friends who walked alongside me and represented Acuity Bookkeeping. You were absolute troopers, and I couldn’t have done it without you!

This experience made me even more excited to continue meeting and supporting local business owners in Freeburg and throughout our surrounding communities. Local businesses truly do build communities, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to connect, learn about what others are building, and see how I may be able to help.
