Now that we’re a week into 2026, I’ve been reflecting on 2025 with a lot of gratitude.

Last year was a big one for me—I took the chance and did what I always knew I wanted to do: I started my own business. That decision came with plenty of challenges, but I was also blessed with the success I was able to see in year one. I’m thankful for every client who trusted me and supported Burke Financial Solutions along the way.
With full transparency, 2025 was also a year of learning. As a business owner, I got by in 2025—got by, and that’s all. I know there were areas where I could’ve given more, especially when it came to marketing and putting myself out there.
As I move forward in 2026, that’s changing. I have big goals coming up fast, and I’m motivated to grow, improve, and build something even stronger. My focus remains the same: clear books, better insight, and helping business owners feel confident and in control of their finances—while continuing to grow alongside them.

It was time to renew my Intuit QuickBooks Certifications!

I renewed my ProAdvisor certification this week, and while I was at it, I decided to do a refresher by retaking the Trained Bookkeeper exam—happy to say I passed both again on the first try. ✅

This year, I’m excited to challenge myself further and take my first shot at the Level 2 QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification—the top QuickBooks Online credential.

💡 Staying sharp with these certifications isn’t just about keeping up to date—it’s about giving my clients the confidence that they’re working with someone who’s trained, tested, and ready to help them get the most out of QuickBooks.
