Sometimes, you don't even know what you truly want...

After talking with on the podcast a few weeks ago (STAY TUNED FOR THE FULL EPISODE BECAUSE ITS 🔥🔥) she shared a practice she does to become her highest self

This involves the process of journaling about things you are grateful for that have not yet happened - essentially a manifestation of things to come as if they already have happened.

The best part of this is that it's a stream of consciousness writing so you can truly understand your inner desires.

Recently, as I was writing something about being grateful for my body that supports my runs (I wish I had the exact verbiage but I was too confused to actually write it) popped into my mind.

To clarify: I am NOT a runner. Never have been. And until today I would've said never will be. But apparently future me has other plans.

This is why it's so important that as you are building your business, you stop and take time to understand YOURSELF and what you truly want. It's so easy to get wrapped up in the narrative of what the world tells you you should do or be that you forget about yourself. And after all, what's the benefit of being your own boss if you're not using it to build a life you LOVE. 

(But I'm still hoping future means something like a 5k runner not a marathoner)

Building a business is scary.

Sometimes it’s really scary.

You have lots of money coming in but sometimes even more money going out. You don’t know where your money should be going or if you’re putting it to good use. Will you have enough money to make that new investment you want? How much can you pay yourself and how much to reinvest? 😱

What are all the forms you have to file with the state? The city maybe? Payroll? Unemployment? 📝

And let’s not even talk about taxes?! How do we fill out those forms? What is income tax vs sales tax? Or franchise tax vs payroll tax? And WHY THE HECK do we pay so much. 🙅‍♀️

Yeah, this stuff is hard, confusing & stressful.
