It's that time of year again! My first pineapple of the season. We're excited to eat it. I've grown all of my pineapples from tops of other pineapples or the "pups" of other plants. And I just learned something new about pineapples. I have close to 20 plants now. I kept thinking one year, I'll have like 10-15 pineapples. Yet, every year, I consistently get 2-3. And guess what? Pineapple plants only produce ONE pineapple. The exception is if they produce an off-shoot called a pup, that new plant will produce a pineapple. So I now have a new method to growing pineapples in the future. Maybe in next year or 2, I'll achieve my goal of 10 pineapples!

Update: I want to thank everyone for your collective energy focus and prayers! They are working! My friend's/family houses were saved! They were able to return back home and there's only been minimal dsmage. Of course, the landscape will be changed forever and mudslides will be the concern in the more mountainous areas until vegetation can grow back. The firefighters have been working tirelessly and collectively from around the country to get this monster of a fire under control, and we can't thank them enough! The fire has burnt over 100k acres and is now 61% contained. This is great news, but the surrounding cities are still not out of the woods yet, so keep those prayers and positive energy focus coming!

On Friday, fire crews in southern Colorado managed to improve containment of the Aspen Acres Fire, even as the wildfire grew to over 100,000 acres.

One of the best things about my job is that not only do friends and family become clients, but clients also become friends and family. My daughter is at the age where she just wants to hang out with her friends, so I was especially grateful to have been invited by Sue to come hang out with her on the 4th of July. She has the most amazing views right out her window. We spent the day at Honeymoon Island Beach and then sat and watched all of the fireworks from Tarpon Springs down to Clearwater, right on the water. It was a beautiful, relaxing way to celebrate our country's 250th anniversary!

A quick update: The fire passed directly over my family in Colorado last week. They have received word that their houses are still standing! They don't know the condition, as they haven't been allowed back yet. The fire has burnt over 90k acres and as of yesterday is only 12% contained. Keep those prayers coming in!
