🔍 Transparency in AI Isn’t Just Ethical—It’s Good Business. Especially in Healthcare.
Lately, I’ve seen so many businesses—including some in healthcare—try to pass off AI bots as real humans. And let me say this plainly: it’s eroding trust faster for your business than you can say “chat disconnected.” 🫠
Healthcare, above all industries, is built on trust. We can’t afford clever deception, especially not with technologies meant to support care and communication.
Here’s what works (and what doesn’t), based on real-world patterns and usability research:
❌ Bots pretending to be human = trust erosion
✅ Naming your bot = 40% more forgiveness from users
✅ Clear handoffs to real humans = higher satisfaction, higher loyalty
I use AI every day, and I love what it can do. But it must be implemented with intention, transparency, and empathy. That’s how we earn the trust AI needs to grow responsibly in healthcare and beyond.
💡 Pro tip: Introduce your AI assistant like you’d introduce a new team member. Make it clear who they are, what they can do—and just as importantly, what they can’t.
AI isn’t here to replace human relationships.
It’s here to collaborate and enhance them—if we do it right.
