Being an emotional spender doesn’t mean you’re bad with money. 🤑 It may simply mean there’s a pattern behind your spending that you haven’t stopped to notice yet.
You’ve had a stressful day, you’re bored or overwhelmed, and spending gives you that temporary feeling of relief.
What’s happening is, you’re using spending to change how you feel. That’s different from impulse spending, which is more about buying something without thinking it through.
So, before your next purchase, pause for 10 minutes and ask yourself: “What am I feeling right now, and am I trying to use this purchase to change it?”
If your spending gives you temporary happiness but leaves you with financial stress, it may be time to look at what’s really driving it.
Spend with intention, not emotion.📍
