Got to jump in dogs first and become a podcast influencer today 💁‍♂️.

But I did get the chance to link up with one of the 🐐 voices in the industry, ☕ Kate Josephine Johnson ☕, and share a bit about myself and the firm.

I wanted it to feel real. No overthinking, no heavy prep. Just a genuine conversation. My hope was that my path into this space resonates with anyone out there thinking about stepping into entrepreneurship, because at times it can feel isolating or out of reach.

Shortly after it went live, I received a message from someone saying the conversation gave them the push they needed to keep moving forward with starting their own business. That right there made it all worth it. HOW COOL?!

Honestly, this clip is pure gold. The comedy hits, but the message behind it is even better.

It was so spot on I actually sent it to a client while we were talking through this exact situation. He’s got a great sense of humor, so it landed well.

If you take one thing from this this week, let it be this:

Stop treating your business bank account like a personal wallet.

It might feel harmless in the moment, but on the back end it creates confusion, extra cleanup, and blurs the line between business and personal finances.

And once that line is blurred, you’re opening the liability door to bigger issues you certainly don’t want to deal with later.

Had one of those experiences today that just deserves to be shared.

We had some stumps in the yard that needed to be taken care of so the family can actually enjoy some gardening this spring and summer. I reached out to EK Tree Service to come take a look.

From handshake to handshake - and even by the time I sat down to write this, the job was already done. One hour. That’s it.

Eric, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Straightforward, honest on pricing, gave great advice, and somehow managed to fit us in between jobs and just get it handled. No delays, no complications. Showed up and executed.

And I’ll say this… anytime I have the opportunity to support a fellow Veteran’s business, I’m all in. So here’s a shoutout to Eric out in the field (or up in the canopies) and his wife Sierra holding it down on the operations side of the house.

Could not have asked for a smoother, more professional experience.

If you’ve got a problem, bring it to them… they’ll gladly chop it right on down 🌳

Happy Friday!

Forgot to throw this up onto the feed as we headed out to enjoy Lancaster Loop 's Dinner Club last week at Cavolo! Pizzeria.

Whether looking for business, personal or a little bit of both... these gatherings allow each table to be a direct conduit of connection to new members of your very own community.

The pairings were based on a few easy questions and we were sat down with a VP, a state lobbyist, a teacher who is also a professional roller derby skater and a fellow small business owner.

The spark was instant, conversations incredible and the food was delicious. Certainly couldn't recommend enough and perhaps (if you are reading this) we get paired up at the next one.

Take a deep breath… you made it.
