🚨 IMPORTANTE | TAX YEAR 2026

Es posible que empieces a escuchar sobre una nueva propuesta del IRS relacionada con el estatus del contribuyente y la parte reembolsable de ciertos créditos fiscales.

Antes de preocuparte, recuerda: por el momento son regulaciones PROPUESTAS, no una regla final.

La propuesta incluye el Child Tax Credit, Earned Income Tax Credit, American Opportunity Tax Credit y Adoption Tax Credit, específicamente respecto a su parte reembolsada.

⚠️ Tener un ITIN por sí solo no determina automáticamente si una persona podrá o no recibir estos beneficios. La propuesta utiliza requisitos específicos de ciudadanía, nacionalidad o la categoría de “qualified alien” bajo la ley federal. En declaraciones conjuntas, la propuesta establece además que bastaría con que uno de los esposos cumpla el requisito de estatus, siempre que se cumplan los demás requisitos aplicables.
