is best known for her live art paintings on wedding day and we love seeing her here but I have to give a shout out for this amazing painting she created after I lost Skeeter in February. She created this amazing painting of all my beloved horses past and present in one beautiful canvas.

It's one of "those" weekends - 50% chance of rain. Obviously we all have fingers crossed for at least a dry ceremony and cocktail hour ( although I must confess, I do love an umbrella photo), but the truth is, it doesn't matter when you choose ECB. We literally have you covered in spite of the weather.

Six years ago these patio hedges were tiny little plants that honestly looked far too small for the space. I planted them and hoped for the best, not entirely convinced they would actually do what they were supposed to do.

Yesterday they got their seasonal trim and for the first time I stood back and realised how much they’ve changed over time. Not all at once, just gradually, in a way you don’t really notice until you do

Quite satisfying really — especially considering most things growing under my care still feels slightly miraculous.

It made me think about weddings, because it’s the same process really — just on a very different scale. What people see on the day is only the end point of a much longer build, full of small decisions, conversations, and care that slowly shape what it becomes, and I love being part of the story from the very first "wow the venue is beautiful" to the champagne toasts.

A great conversation yesterday with a seasoned photographer had me thinking

If you hire a great photographer allow them to lead you with ideas for your couples portraits. It isn't a job to get through, it is time to relax, enjoy each other and soak in the moments.

If your photographer knows the venue or has had a moment to scout the best spots, trust them to capture the best images.

If you relax and trust the process you will love your photographer forever.
