May is wrapping up, and I am feeling full.

Danny graduated this month šŸŽ“ Watching him get to that milestone, and I still was not prepared for that moment. I felt every hard conversation, every time he kept going when stopping would have been easier. And he did that.

Sam turned sixteen šŸŽ‚ Sixteen. I keep looking at him and seeing so many versions of him all at once, and somehow, he just keeps getting more remarkable.

This is what all of it is for. So I can be present for the moments that do not come twice. Not distracted, not somewhere else in my head. Right here.

Happy graduation, Danny. Happy birthday, Sam. May every door that is meant for you remain wide open ✨

I am proud to be part of the Ascendus board and even more proud of the work this organization does every day.

Ascendus is a CDFI. They fund and educate small business owners who have been largely shut out of traditional capital. The founders they serve are not missing talent or drive. They are missing access. To capital, to knowledge, to someone who will help them understand what their numbers are actually saying.

That is a gap I have spent my career trying to close. Being connected to an organization doing that same work on the ground means everything to me.

You had your best month yet. So why does the bank account feel empty?

That question deserves an honest answer. And most founders never get one.

If you run a business between $1M and $5M in revenue, this one is for you. The difference between what your business earns and what it actually holds is one of the most common blind spots I see. And it tends to get worse exactly when things are going well.

I broke it down into five slides. Save it, share it with a founder in your circle, and if you want to go deeper, the full piece is on LinkedIn.

The right rooms don't open by accident. They open because of the work, the relationships, and the intention you show up with. And when you know which ones are yours, they start calling your name.

This is just a fraction of last week. A week that also included client work, deliverables, and everything else that comes with running a business. And yet: a capstone with a cohort of builders investing in what's next, three stages to talk about what founders deserve to understand about their money, a gala celebrating leadership in our profession, and an honor that belongs to every founder I've had the privilege of sitting across from.

A full plate? Always. But that's what preparation is for. The right team, the right tools, and the intention to keep showing up. That's what makes it possible to walk through multiple doors in the same week without dropping anything.
Grateful for every room. Grateful for everyone who made space for me in them.

If you have been following along since Day 1, you have done something that a lot of founders talk about and very few actually do.

You looked at your numbers. You stopped guessing. You built something real.

But here is the truth: the foundation is only half of it. Day 30 is about what happens when you actually have to use it, and that is where things get interesting.

Watch the video, then come back and tell me: what is the one pricing decision you are committing to this week? Drop it in the comments. šŸ‘‡

And if you are ready to stop underpricing for good and build a business that actually pays you what you are worth, my inbox is open.

Honored to be part of NYCPA's NextGen Week!

On June 3, I'll be leading a Growth Talk: Turning Conversations into Opportunities, a session I genuinely wish had existed earlier in my career.

We're going to talk about building confidence, growing your network, and developing business in a way that feels natural, not forced. No scripts. No performance. Just real strategies you can use immediately.

If you're an emerging professional, a CPA candidate, or someone building toward a leadership role, this one is for you.

There's a version of your business where money feels like the easy part.

It doesn't start with a bigger audience or a better offer. It starts with a price that actually reflects your costs, your value, and the standard you want to hold.

Staying underpriced has a cost that a lot of times is never add up. In margin, yes, but also in confidence, in client quality, and in how sustainable this whole thing is long-term.

The pricing calculator is in the first comment. Everything we've covered this month, in one tool.

What's the one thing from this series you're actually going to change? Tell me below. šŸ‘‡

This past Friday, I walked into The Harmonie Club in New York City as a speaker. And I walked out as one of the 2026 Women of Color Innovators Transforming Our Economy, recognized by NYC Celebrates Women.

I'm still sitting with that.

This year's theme was Supply. Demand. Disrupt. And I had the honor of kicking off the conversation with my session on Pricing and Worth: how to generate opportunity in chaos. Because when everything feels uncertain, the founders who know their numbers, know their value, and know how to price with confidence are the ones who don't just survive disruption. They move through it.

That room was full of women who are doing exactly that. Building, leading, disrupting, on their own terms.

And yes, we wore green intentionally. May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Even the way we show up matters.

Being recognized alongside these women is something I don't take lightly. This award belongs to every founder I've had the privilege of sitting across from, helping them see that their business is more fundable, more valuable, and more ready than they thought.

We're just getting started.

Today I spoke at the Women in Tech Global Conference, and Irsa Shahzad said something I'll be borrowing from now on:

"Revenue proves demand. But capital readiness proves operational maturity."

The founders I work with aren't struggling because they're not working hard enough. They're struggling because nobody taught them how to build a business that's legible to the people with the resources.

That's exactly why I built FiBrick. And today I got to talk about it in a (virtual) room full of women who needed to hear it.

This is the work I show up for every single day. Save this and follow along for more on capital readiness.

Something worth pausing to celebrate šŸ’ššŸŽ‰

I've been selected as one of the 2026 Women of Color Innovators Transforming Our Economy by NYC Celebrates Women, and I am deeply honored.

This recognition means a lot to me personally and professionally. It's a reminder that the daily work of building a business, making intentional financial decisions, and creating real opportunities, matters. Even when it's quiet. Even when nobody's watching.

We don't always get to stop and feel that. So today, I'm stopping.

On May 16th, I'll be speaking at the 7th Annual Step-By-Step Women of Color Entrepreneurs Conference at the Harmonie Club in New York City, alongside an incredible community of women who are doing the same thing: building something real, showing up for themselves, and proving every day that we belong at every table.

If you're building something of your own, this is a room worth being in.
