I started doing books before there were computer programs, like Quickbooks. I did it using hand ledgers. I did double entry bookkeeping with a calculator and a #2 pencil. But also that's the experience that makes me an asset to your company.
Anyone can use a program, but to understand what the program is doing and be able to find that information easily and turn it into report form that others can understand, is a skill.
