The IRS tax filing deadline is April 18th for most but did you know that a corporation must file the 1120 by the 15th day of the fourth month following the close of their fiscal year? And a partnership is due on the 15th day of the third month. If your fiscal year is the same as a calendar year, then your tax return is do on March 15th.

Quickbooks Tip of the Day: If you are in an industry or metropolitan area, that you are required to charge 2 types of Sales tax, Quickbooks has a group sales tax feature that allows you to do this in one step. Create a new "item" for each sales tax than go back and create a new "item" to combine the two, choose group sales tax as the type. Now when you create an invoice, choose this group sales tax at the bottom of the screen, and Quickbooks does the rest.
