I've spent a lot of my career working toward professional goals, solving problems, and helping businesses navigate challenges.

But I've also become increasingly interested in something else: helping people better understand their finances and prepare for their futures.

That's one of the reasons I'm building a financial education business alongside my career.

I enjoy connecting with people, learning, and helping others understand things that may once have seemed complicated or overwhelming.

I'm also interested in connecting with good, honest, motivated people who enjoy helping others and are curious about building something of their own.

You don't have to have everything figured out to start exploring a new direction. Sometimes, you just have to be willing to learn.

If any of this resonates with you, I'd love to connect. 😊

Financial Conversations We Should Be Having: The Cost of Waiting

When it comes to long-term savings, time matters.

Compound growth allows investment returns to generate potential additional returns over time. It doesn't guarantee results, but it helps explain why starting early can be valuable.

And if you haven't started yet? You can still make informed decisions based on your own circumstances.

What do you wish you'd understood about saving and investing earlier in life?

October has been a crazy month. I started out networking and learning with a bunch of incredible women at the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Ignite Women's Conference, then I was off to Nashville to learn from the best in the industry (and receive some unexpected recognition!), spend some quality time with the team and a little detour to the Ole Miss vs. Vanderbilt game!

Something I've been thinking about lately:

What actually makes someone good at building a business?

Is it having the most experience?

Knowing all the answers?

Being the most outgoing person in the room?

I don't think those things tell the whole story.

I think there's a lot to be said for people who are willing to learn, follow through on their commitments, treat people well, and keep going when something takes time.

People who are curious.

People who are dependable.

People who genuinely enjoy helping others.

And people who understand that building something worthwhile takes effort, patience, and a willingness to grow.

That's the kind of mindset I value as I continue building my financial education business alongside my legal career.

I'm always interested in meeting good, honest, motivated people who enjoy working with others and are curious about learning something new.

Not everyone will be interested, and that's perfectly fine.

But if you've ever wondered what it would be like to build something alongside your current career, I'm happy to have a conversation and explain what I'm doing.

What qualities do you think matter most when building a business?

Financial Conversations We Should Be Having: Protecting Your Income

We talk a lot about earning more, saving more, and building wealth.

But what happens when life doesn't go according to plan?

Emergency savings, appropriate insurance coverage, and a realistic understanding of your financial obligations can all play a role in protecting your financial foundation

The right approach depends on your circumstances. The first step is understanding where you stand.

Have you thought about what would happen financially if you couldn't work for an extended period?
