His influence has shaped not only our firm, but also the many individuals who have had the opportunity to work alongside him throughout his 50-year career. 📊 Latest IRS Filing Season Update

The IRS recently released new filing statistics under the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (H.R. 1)—and the numbers are worth noting:

💰 Average tax refund: Over $3,400
⬆️ That’s an 11% increase compared to last filing season

More than 53 million taxpayers have already taken advantage of at least one of the new deductions:

• 💵 Tips Deduction – ~6 million filers
Average deduction: $7,100+

• ⏱️ Overtime Deduction – 25+ million filers
Average deduction: $3,100+

• 👴 Senior Deduction – 30+ million filers
Average deduction: $7,500+

• 🚗 Car Loan Interest Deduction – 1+ million filers
Average deduction: $1,800+

📢 IRS Delays Tax Deadline to June 8 - Mississippi Tax Relief 📢

The IRS has announced tax relief for individuals and businesses in Mississippi impacted by the recent severe winter storm. This includes tax returns and payments normally due April 15. The relief area includes the entire state of Mississippi.

Taxpayers in affected areas now have until June 8, 2026 to file federal tax returns and make payments that were originally due during the disaster period.

This relief applies to a wide range of filings, including individual and business returns, estimated tax payments, and certain payroll and excise taxes. The extension is automatic for those in designated areas.

If you are outside the affected area but were still impacted, you may qualify for relief as well.
