Who needs to pay?
People who owe more than $1k to the IRS should be making estimated tax payments. If you don't, you could be subject to underpayment penalties on these unpaid amounts.

Is your business eligible for the ERC (Employee Retention Credit)?

​What is the ERC?

​The ERC is a refundable tax credit.  It provides a credit of 70% (50% in 2020) of qualified wages paid, up to $10,000 per employee per quarter ($10,000 per employee per year in 2020).

To be eligible your business must have experienced one of the 2 following events during the credit period:

🔹️ a government-mandated suspension, either a full or partial shutdown due to COVID.  OR.....
🔹️A substantial reduction in gross receipts for the calendar quarter. (greater than 50% in 2020, and greater than 20% in 2021)

You can obtain the ERC even you received the PPP loan, just not on the same wages.  The ERC help offset the cost of paying employees during the COVID pandemic.​
