Hi Everyone!
In the US, June is associated with a wide range of cultural, historical, seasonal, and awareness observances- most commonly with the start of summer, Pride Month, Juneteenth, Father's Day, graduations, weddings, outdoor activities, and family vacations:

Seasonal Significance
Beginning of Summer – The summer season officially begins with the summer solstice, usually on June 20 or 21, the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.

End of the School Year – Many K–12 schools finish classes in June, marking the start of summer vacation for students.

Wedding Season – June has long been considered a popular month for weddings.

Major Holidays/Observances
June includes several holidays/observances including a newer federal holiday started in 2021, Juneteenth (June 19), which commemorates the end of slavery in the US celebrated with festivals, educational events, parades, and community gatherings; Flag Day, which marks the adoption of the U.S. flag in 1777 and though not a federal holiday, is observed nationwide; and Father's Day, which celebrates both fathers and father figures!

Cultural/Community Celebrations
Pride Month
June is recognized as Pride Month, celebrating LGBTQ+ communities and commemorating the events surrounding the Stonewall Uprising. Many cities host parades, festivals, and educational events throughout the month.

African American Music Appreciation Month
Recognizes the contributions of African American musicians/musical traditions to American culture.

June is also designated as the Awareness Month for the following:
Men's Health
Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness
National Safety
PTSD Awareness
Immigrant Heritage

Sports and Recreation
The NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Final often occur in June and
Baseball season is in full swing with Major League Baseball. Also,
Summer travel, camping, beach trips, and outdoor festivals increase significantly in the month of June.

In the context of healthcare, social services, nonprofits, education, or government contracting in New York, June is very often viewed as the end of the fiscal year because many agencies and grant-funded programs operate on a July 1–June 30 cycle. For them, end of June marks the time for the Closing of the books; Finalizing budgets; Completing annual audits; Reviewing organizational performance; Preparing Annual Reports; and Renewing contracts and funding agreements.

I too have taken June to reflect, restart, and refresh ready to lock in and level up!-

I will have greater availability via Minette (https://www.minettepsychotherapy.com/) to see Clients with Medicaid and other similar insurance and via the Headway platform (https://care.headway.co/providers/francis-lora?utm_source=pem&utm_medium=direct_link&utm_campaign=97927) to see Clients with certain commercial insurances.

So, if summer hasn't healed your mental health challenges, find me on these platforms or email me directly at [email protected] for other ways to connect!

Hi Everyone!
Remember how I joined Headway to help get credentialed with various insurance panels so that I can continue to expand my ability to provide mental health services- Well, the Platform has lived up to its name, and I've made significant "Headway" in my efforts to expand my clientele helping more people, while also increasing my income. Headway has provided me with various resources to simplify my practice, to cut the amount of time and decrease the amount of effort in finding and billing clients, and has broadened my connection to the broader mental health community:

So, if you are a therapist or mental health provider looking to:
✔️ Start your own private practice or group practice
✔️ Grow your caseload and increase your income
✔️ Spend less time on admin work, billing, and insurance headaches

I highly recommend checking out Headway: It's perfect for therapists, counselors, psychologists, social workers, and other mental health providers looking to build or scale their practice.

Headway helps clinicians:
- Get credentialed with major insurance panels
- Handle billing and claims
- Streamline scheduling and client payments
- Reduce administrative stress so you can focus on client care.....and using my referral link can also get you a discount, and I’ll receive compensation once you submit your credentialing intake form.

So, if you’ve been thinking about expanding your practice or simplifying operations, this is a great place to start:

👉 Apply Through My Referral Link (share.findheadway.com/f_lora)...
.. and thank you for supporting me in supporting mental health because "Money Health is Mental Health" and "Mental Health is Wealth"!

Take Care, Be Well, Stay Safe, Be Blessed, and Stay in Touch!

Best,
Francis

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to remind you that Mother's Day is coming up this weekend on Sunday, 05/10/2026 and Dominican Mother's Day as well as the same celebration from other countries are also coming up later this month. Besides being Mental Health Awareness Month, May is also for Mothers and future moms, and I am writing to Everyone to encourage you to gift your mother, yourself, and your family peace of mind by inviting you to schedule a free financial consultation. Let me know your name, phone number, and preferred email as well as your availability the rest of this week (give me a few days/times) and we will make those virtual Zoom appointments happen! The sooner that you are scheduled, the sooner that we can set you on the path towards financial freedom and accomplishing your goals or confirm that you are already well on your way! If you have "a guy", a financial person, we would be more than glad to just take a look and see if there are any other suggestions that may be able to get to where you want to go faster or more efficiently and you're more than welcome to keep your person (think of it as us giving you a second opinion!).In any case, Be Well, Stay Safe, Be Blessed, and Stay in Touch!

Best,

Francis

Hi Everyone,
As We March into May and Mental Health Awareness Month tomorrow, I hope that April (Autism Acceptance/Action and Financial Literacy Month) has been treating Everyone Well!

May is officially recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month in the United States, observed annually since 1949 to reduce stigma, provide education, and encourage people to seek help. Led by organizations like NAMI and Mental Health America, the month focuses on raising awareness of conditions like depression and anxiety, which affect approximately 20% of U.S. adults annually.

The theme this year, 2026, is "More Good Days, Together"! The theme emphasizes that well-being is personal and that community support is vital for mental health. This campaign focuses on community support, building connections, and finding personalized, flexible paths to wellness to help individuals achieve more "good" days.

Key aspects of Mental Health Awareness Month include:

* Reducing Stigma: Efforts are made to eliminate the shame associated with mental illness, making it easier for people to seek treatment. This year the focus is not only on combating stigma, but also encouraging people to "show up" for one another and to push for better mental health policies.

*Education and Resources: Campaigns highlight the warning signs of mental illness (e.g., changes in sleep, appetite, or mood) and provide access to tools like screenings.

* Highlighting the Mind-Body Connection: It emphasizes that mental health affects physical health (e.g., heart health, fatigue), aiming for a holistic approach to wellbeing.

*Promoting Access to Care: The month draws attention to the need for better mental health services, especially given the shortage of professionals and common barriers to access. The Mental Health Day of Action, scheduled for May 15, 2026, gives people the opportunity to band together to "show up" for one another and to push for better mental health policies..

* Focus on Support: It encourages people to check in on their mental health and support those around them, encouraging the use of resources like the 988 crisis hotline.

In the meantime, if you would like to connect with a Mental Health Professional for Mental and Financial Health (Because "Money Health" is "Mental Health" and "Health is Wealth") message me here or email me at [email protected]

For now, Take Care, Be Well, Stay Safe, Be Blessed, and Stay in Touch!

Best,

Francis

Happy Fri-Yay Everyone!
Yesterday, April 2nd, World Autism Awareness Day, kicked off a month dedicated to promoting understanding, acceptance, and support of autistic individuals with various activities aimed at fostering a more inclusive society. The observance of World Autism Month began in the 1970's with the goal of raising awareness and dispelling myths about autism and has evolved to emphasize acceptance and inclusion, with many now referring to April as Autism Acceptance Month! Despite a greater understanding and recognition of this particular type of neurodivergence, there is still much more to do as a lot of the myths and misunderstandings still persist to this day making it needlessly more challenging for us autistic people to succeed in a traditional sense with many of us being underemployed, underestimated, and under-appreciated with significant skill-sets that end up being wasted and under-utilized. Interestingly enough, April also marks the beginning of Financial Literacy Month, another important cause for me since it is a tool that is not taught at school and that we are often denied by our circumstances.

For those of you who know me, you know that Autism is both a professional and personal passion ever since my first-born son was diagnosed at the age of 4 and I began self-identifying as neurodivergent myself (... my special interests have always been finance, particularly money health, and professional and personal development and growth- just the right topics for a future therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Financial Social Worker, but very isolating for developing young, Latino, Dominican, "City Boy" with an overprotective and smothering father and paternal grandmother raising him). Yesterday, I celebrated by binging on most of the 4th Season of Love on the Spectrum, which addresses one of the challenges faced by those of us on the Spectrum, though, I feel, we need more shows focusing on successfully navigating the challenging transition to adulthood and the workplace when the available supports start to drop off and we are dumped off of the proverbial "Cliff." I also watched "RobertIDK", an autistic content creator and Youtuber's, reaction video to Dhar Mann's "Special Needs Sam" and "Autistic Kevin in Foster care" videos, which my younger son had me watch because he wanted to share a video he felt I would be interested in and might enjoy (... he was right!).... and Last, but certainly not least, and perhaps most importantly, I donated money to a good friend's organization, "Unique Paths" (... I encourage you to donate as well as this is an important high need area that is in need of greater support)

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Social Work Month!... Let's Celebrate with some self-care!- It's Friday!

This Social Work Month, I encourage you all to gift yourself, your family, and maybe even your friends, peace of mind by inviting you to schedule a free financial consultation because as I always say, "Money Health is Mental Health" and "Mental Health is Wealth"!

With the chaos of the current political and economic climate and inevitable and impending financial meltdown, this is the time to take control of your money and make it work for you; refer extended family, family, friends, and acquaintances who will be grateful to you- help them to create a stronger financial foundation; to prepare for their future; to develop a strategy for success; and to advance by helping them clarify their long-term thinking!

This is not only your opportunity to work with committed, knowledgeable, and trustworthy professionals with an extensive record of success for yourself, you can also get trained and become highly skilled and significantly experienced in finance and develop your own expertise and learn to help others and share what you have learned. This opportunity allows you to Educate Yourself and Educate Others; learn and share tools, services, and solutions you can use for yourself and educate others about these and different aspects of finance while increasing financial literacy: for example, talk to clients and loved ones about things like life insurance that we don't get to learn about in school and usually not until it's too late. Unless, we've had to learn the hard way from our own or a family member or friend's experience, most of us don't know that there are different types of life insurance, and what's right for you, may not be right for someone else- the right type of life insurance depends on a lot of factors including age, health, number of dependents, and current income and financial situation, and requires personalized planning. The time to learn about these things and have these conversations is now!

Email me at [email protected] and Let me know your name, phone number, and preferred email as well as your availability for this weekend and the upcoming week (give me a few days/times) and we will make these virtual Zoom appointments happen! The sooner that you are scheduled, the sooner that we can set you on the path towards financial freedom and accomplishing your goals or confirm that you are already well on your way! If you have "a guy", a financial person, we would be more than glad to just take a look and see if there are any other suggestions that may be able to help you get to where you want to go faster or more efficiently and you're more than welcome to keep your person (think of it as us giving you a second opinion!).In any case, Be Well, Stay Safe, Be Blessed, and Stay in Touch!

Best,

Francis
