2. Record your October cash balances.
3. Compare it to your September cash balances.
4. Review your three biggest expenses. Any opportunities to reduce spending?
5. Confirm your Profit savings allocations for the month are complete & your account balance is growing.
6. Schedule your meeting with your tax advisor in early November to discuss strategies to implement & confirm your tax savings will be adequate to pay your tax liability.

Dogs are dependent on their humans and entrusted to your care. Our Pets come with financial responsibilities, too, for their lifelong care.

Simple daily money habits for pet parents to Think Ahead are:

✅ Give your pet its own savings account and fund it with a percent of every dollar you are paid.
✅ Keep a separate savings emergency vet fund, because surprise care & the health care bills will not wait!
✅ Compare pet insurance while your dog is young and healthy before any pre-existing conditions.
✅ Budget for the whole life care of your dog.

As we celebrate Independence Day, I am reflecting on our freedoms which come in many forms.

We think about the freedoms our nation visionaries wrote of life, liberty & the opportunity to pursue our dreams. We have another freedom worth reflecting upon - our financial freedom💰

Benjamin Franklin famously said, “Time is money.” More than 250 years later, those three words still carry a powerful lesson.

Every day, we make a decision about how we use our time:

• The time we spend earning money.
• The time we spend managing our money.
• The time we gain when our finances are clearly organized with intent & plans.

Financial freedom does not necessarily mean being wealthy.

Financial freedom means having choices.

Financial freedom results in less stress, greater confidence and your ability to direct your money toward what matters most to your family, your business, your causes & you.

This July 4th, while celebrating our nation’s 250 year of independence, consider taking one small step toward strengthening your own financial independence:

USA Memorial Day holds special meaning for my family. Our family story is not unique. My first cousin died in USA military action while I was a child. Being young, I didn’t completely understand death but fully understood our family suffered an ongoing deep sadness.

Many USA families will remember a son or daughter on Monday.

As our country pauses to honor those who gave their lives in service to our nation, our family also remembers another deeply personal milestone, the anniversary of my father’s passing following a long cancer battle. Remarkably, he died on the same date as his own father, 50 years later.

While Memorial Day is about honoring USA military sacrifice, I am reminded of the many legacies we inherit from our family. I’m incredibly grateful for our nation's legacy of freedom, secured by those who served. I’m just as grateful for the legacy my father left, a WW II veteran. He believed in education, working hard, generosity, and shared his deep love for family & community.

Financial support is one form of inheritance which leads to freedom of financial choices. However, the values, lessons, and love we pass on matter just as much, too. My Daddy lived. He led by example, gave of his time, talents, connections & assets, and most of all - he loved fiercely. The “dash” between his date of birth and date of death is full.

I am honored to carry his legacy with me every day.
