📣 Meet the Accountant & Owner: Tracy Kearney 👋

Hey there! I’m Tracy Kearney, the proud owner of Tracy Lynn’s Bookkeeping n Taxes LLC.

What started as a little side gig back in September 2020 has turned into my full-time passion — helping small business owners keep clean, legal books and stay on top of their taxes 📚✅

I chose this path because I’ve been that overwhelmed business owner — unsure of where the money’s going, struggling to keep up. I know what it feels like to be lost in the numbers… and I never want another small business to go through that alone.

Now, I work remotely, around my family’s needs, to support other entrepreneurs. My goal is simple: help small businesses grow by giving them the clarity and confidence that comes from organized books and accurate reporting.

This isn’t just work to me — it’s my passion. Let’s turn the chaos into clarity and help your business thrive! 💼💡

🏡✨ Check this out!

Fannie Mae may be making a BIG change — starting November 16, 2025, they’re expected to remove the 620 minimum credit score requirement for loans run through Desktop Underwriter (DU)! 👀

That means lenders could start looking at your whole financial picture, not just your credit score, when determining eligibility. 🙌

👉 If you’ve been dreaming about buying a home but worried your score isn’t high enough, this could open new doors for you!

It’s the perfect time to start getting your finances, taxes, and credit profile in order so you’re ready when this takes effect.

🚨 Tax Reminder for 2025 🚨

A lot of people are confused because of the Big Beautiful Bill, so here’s what you need to know:

👉 The IRS is NOT adding new boxes on the W-2 for the tax-free overtime or tax-free tips created under the Big Beautiful Bill.
There will NOT be a special line on your W-2 for these amounts.

If you earned:
✔️ Tax-free overtime, or
✔️ Tax-free tips

👉 You MUST get those totals directly from your employer.
These numbers will not show up separately on your W-2, and they won’t auto-fill when you file.

You’ll need the correct tax-free totals to give to your tax preparer — or to enter into your tax filing program — so your return is accurate.

If you’re unsure what to ask for or how to read your paystubs, I can help with that.
Just send me a message.

💼📊 Workday Wednesday Wisdom!

Let’s talk about something that can make or break your business — financial management.

Good financial management isn’t just about keeping receipts or balancing the books — it’s about understanding where your money is going, planning for what’s ahead, and making informed decisions that help your business grow. 🌱

💡 When your finances are organized:
✅ You know your real profit (not just what’s in the bank).
✅ You can plan for taxes and avoid surprises.
✅ You can qualify for loans or grants with confidence.
✅ You make smarter business decisions every single day.

But when finances are ignored or disorganized… that’s when stress builds, opportunities are missed, and cash flow gets tight.

Take today to check in on your business finances — review your income, update your expenses, and plan ahead. And if it feels overwhelming… that’s where I come in!

👋 Tracy Lynn’s Bookkeeping N Taxes LLC helps small business owners stay in control, stay compliant, and stay confident.

Let’s make your money work for you — not against you. 💪

Here’s a polished Tax Tip Tuesday post you can share on your Tracy Lynn’s Bookkeeping N Taxes LLC page 👇

🧾💡 Tax Tip Tuesday!

Want to keep more of your hard-earned money this tax season? Here’s a simple tip that can make a BIG difference:

✨ Keep your receipts — even the small ones! ✨
Those $10 lunches, supply runs, or mileage trips add up fast. The IRS allows deductions for many business expenses, but only if you can prove them.

📁 Create a folder (digital or paper) and label it “2025 Tax Receipts.”
Take photos of every business-related purchase, or upload them directly into your accounting software.

When tax time comes, you’ll thank yourself — and your tax preparer will too! 😉

✅ Stay organized
✅ Maximize your deductions
✅ Reduce audit stress

🔍 What the “Big Beautiful Bill” Means for You (and Why You Should Care) 🔍

Heads up, small-business owners and self-employed friends — the OBBB just passed, and there are some new tax rules in place that could impact your bottom line. Here are some key highlights:

✅ New deductions for overtime & tips: If you receive qualified overtime compensation, you may claim a deduction up to $12,500 (or $25,000 for married couples filing jointly) — available for tax years 2025-2028.
✅ More “state & local tax” (SALT) deduction room: The SALT cap has been raised (at least temporarily) which could matter if you live in a state with higher taxes.
✅ Changes for small business income & investments: For pass-through entities (like many small businesses), some deductions and favorable treatments have been extended or made permanent.
✅ Important to stay on top of details: While there are new benefits, there are also new rules and phase-outs. “Hidden traps” in the bill mean that mistakes or assumptions can cost you.

💡 Why this matters for your business
If you’re operating as a sole-proprietor, LLC, or S-Corporation, these new changes could influence how you:
• Track and deduct expenses
• Plan your business structure for tax efficiency
• Project your tax savings and liability for the year

👉 Want help navigating it?
At Tracy Lynn’s Bookkeeping N Taxes LLC, I help business owners like you interpret what these tax laws really mean — so you don’t just chase deductions, but build a tax strategy that fits your business.

🏢 What Is an S-Corporation — and Should You Become One? 💼

If you own a small business and have ever wondered what an S-Corp is, here’s the simple breakdown 👇

An S-Corporation (S-Corp) isn’t a separate type of business — it’s a tax status you can elect with the IRS that can help you save money on self-employment taxes and optimize your income.

Here’s how it works:
✅ You still own your business (usually as an LLC).
✅ You pay yourself a reasonable salary through payroll.
✅ The remaining profit is taken as distributions, which aren’t subject to self-employment tax.
✅ You’ll file a separate 1120-S tax return for the business.

💡 In short — an S-Corp can help business owners save on taxes and look more professional when applying for loans, credit, or contracts.

But it’s not for everyone!
Before electing S-Corp status, it’s important to talk with a professional about:
📊 Your income level
🧾 Payroll setup and compliance
💰 Estimated tax savings vs. added costs

That’s where I come in!
At Tracy Lynn’s Bookkeeping N Taxes LLC, I help small business owners understand their options, stay compliant, and keep more of what they earn.

📞 Message me or email [email protected] if you’d like to see whether an S-Corp could benefit your business!

🚨 URGENT HELP NEEDED FOR ANIMAL RESCUE 🚨
🐾 Rescue to the Max - Max’s Legacy Inc. 🐾
🏡 This nonprofit sanctuary in Florida, run by Tina, is home to over 200 rescued dogs, and they’re facing a serious emergency.

As their accountant, I’m sharing this on their behalf because they need help immediately. The air conditioning unit has completely failed — for the third time in three years — and this time it’s beyond repair. The system is critical for keeping the animals, especially the 35 senior dogs, safe and comfortable in the Florida heat.

💡 June’s electric bill alone was $1,200, and 90% of the food for the animals is still coming directly out of the founder’s personal pocket. They rely on a handful of kind donors but need a lot more help right now.

👉 If you’re able, please donate or share:

Every bit helps keep these animals safe while they wait for their forever homes. 💙
Thank you in advance for sharing or giving if you can.
