VET YOUR TAX PREPARER & REVIEW YOUR RETURN

Just because someone says they can get you the “MAX refund” does NOT mean they’re the right person to prepare your taxes.

Let me educate you.

I recently dealt with a situation where the income reported on a return did NOT match what the IRS already had on file.

On paper?
It looked like a great refund.

But once transcripts were pulled… the numbers didn’t add up.

Now what happens?

• Refund gets frozen
• IRS letters get mailed
• Identity verification is triggered
• Possible audit
• Repayment + penalties

That “big refund” suddenly isn’t exciting anymore.

And let me say this clearly:

🛑 NEVER allow anyone to sign your tax return for you.
🛑 Never file without reviewing every page.

You have the right to:
✔ Review your full return before it’s submitted
✔ Ask questions
✔ Understand where your numbers came from
✔ See what income was reported
✔ See what credits were claimed
✔ Refuse to file if something doesn’t look right
